1. Scope
This Policy applies to fees charged in connection with seller accounts, listings, marketplace transactions, subscriptions, optional services, fulfillment features, payment processing and other paid Sporfia services.
Sellers are responsible for reviewing the pricing and fee information displayed before using a paid feature, purchasing a subscription or completing a transaction.
Fees may vary based on:
- The seller’s subscription plan.
- The number of active product listings.
- The type of transaction.
- Optional tools or services selected by the seller.
- Payment-provider charges.
- Fulfillment method.
- Currency or country.
- Promotional or negotiated pricing.
2. Marketplace commission
Sporfia may charge a marketplace commission on eligible transactions completed through the marketplace.
The standard marketplace commission is:
5% of the applicable transaction amount
The commission applies only when the seller’s selected plan, promotional offer or pricing terms provide for a marketplace commission.
Certain paid seller plans may reduce, waive or otherwise modify the commission rate.
Any different commission rate applicable to a seller should be displayed in the seller dashboard, subscription terms or another authorized Sporfia interface.
3. How commission may be calculated
Unless the applicable seller pricing terms state otherwise, the marketplace commission may be calculated using amounts paid by the buyer for the seller’s order.
The commission calculation may include:
- Product subtotal.
- Seller-established shipping charges.
- Seller-added service charges where permitted.
Taxes collected from the buyer may be excluded from the commission calculation unless applicable law, payment processing or the seller’s disclosed pricing terms require otherwise.
Discounts, coupons, credits and partial refunds may affect the amount used to calculate commission.
Sporfia may deduct the commission before funds are made available to the seller or may charge the seller separately.
Example
If an eligible transaction amount is $100.00 and the applicable marketplace commission is 5%, the marketplace commission would be $5.00 before any separate payment-processing fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks or other applicable adjustments.
4. Seller subscriptions
Sporfia may offer paid seller subscriptions that provide higher listing limits, additional tools, reduced commissions or other marketplace benefits.
Subscription pricing and included features will be displayed before enrollment.
Subscription plans may include:
- Monthly billing.
- Annual billing.
- Promotional pricing.
- Trial periods.
- Listing limits.
- Reduced or waived marketplace commission.
- Premium seller tools.
- Additional analytics or marketing features.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew for the selected billing period until canceled.
Sellers authorize Sporfia and its payment providers to charge the applicable subscription amount using the seller’s approved billing method.
5. Free plans and listing limits
Sporfia may offer a free seller plan with a limited number of active product listings.
Sellers who remain within the free-plan listing limit may be subject to the standard 5% marketplace commission on eligible transactions.
A paid subscription may be required when a seller:
- Exceeds the permitted free-plan listing limit.
- Wants to activate additional products.
- Uses premium selling tools.
- Selects features not included with the free plan.
- Wants a reduced or waived marketplace commission.
Sporfia may prevent additional listings from becoming active when the seller exceeds the applicable plan limit.
Exceeding a listing limit does not automatically delete existing product or order records.
6. Payment-processing fees
Payment-processing fees are separate from Sporfia’s marketplace commission and subscription charges.
Payment providers, including Stripe, may charge fees related to:
- Card payments.
- Digital wallets.
- International cards.
- Currency conversion.
- Instant payouts.
- Disputes and chargebacks.
- Refunds.
- Other payment services.
Payment-processing fees are determined by the applicable payment provider and may change independently of Sporfia.
Sellers are responsible for reviewing their payment provider’s pricing and account terms.
A 5% marketplace commission does not include Stripe or other payment-processing charges.
7. Stripe Connect and seller accounts
Sporfia may use Stripe Connect to process payments for independent sellers.
Sellers may be required to create, connect and maintain an eligible Stripe account before receiving marketplace payments.
Stripe may:
- Verify the seller’s identity and business.
- Request tax, banking or ownership information.
- Deduct payment-processing charges.
- Hold or delay payouts.
- Establish reserve requirements.
- Restrict or close a payment account.
- Apply dispute, refund or currency-conversion fees.
Sporfia does not control all Stripe fees, payout timing, account reviews, reserves or eligibility decisions.
Sellers remain responsible for complying with Stripe’s account agreement and payment-processing requirements.
8. Optional service fees
Sporfia may offer optional paid services in addition to standard marketplace access.
Optional services may include:
- Promoted listings.
- Featured products or stores.
- Advertising campaigns.
- Premium analytics.
- Advanced seller reports.
- Premium customer-support tools.
- Instant-payout features.
- Warehouse services.
- Fulfillment services.
- Product photography or creative services.
- Additional staff or account permissions.
- Other premium marketplace tools.
The price and billing terms for an optional service should be displayed before the seller activates or purchases it.
9. Fulfillment, warehouse and Printful fees
Sellers may use seller-managed fulfillment, Sporfia-supported fulfillment, Printful or another approved fulfillment provider.
Fulfillment-related charges are separate from the marketplace commission unless the applicable pricing expressly states otherwise.
Fulfillment costs may include:
- Product manufacturing.
- Printing or embroidery.
- Packaging.
- Storage.
- Picking and packing.
- Shipping labels.
- Carrier charges.
- Returns processing.
- Disposal or restocking.
- Customs or international delivery charges.
When a seller uses Printful, the seller is responsible for Printful’s product, fulfillment, shipping and other charges.
Sporfia may display estimated fulfillment costs, but the final charge may depend on the provider, destination, product, shipping service and other order details.
Use of a third-party fulfillment provider does not remove the seller’s responsibility to the buyer.
10. Taxes
Fees, subscriptions and optional services may be subject to sales tax, value-added tax, goods and services tax or other governmental charges.
Sporfia may collect taxes on its own fees when required by law.
Sellers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate tax information.
- Determining their tax obligations.
- Reporting marketplace income.
- Paying taxes not collected by Sporfia.
- Reviewing tax forms issued by payment providers or marketplace operators.
Marketplace tax collection for buyer transactions does not necessarily satisfy every tax obligation of the seller.
11. Refunds, order cancellations and fee adjustments
When a seller issues a full or partial order refund, Sporfia may adjust the associated marketplace commission when permitted by the applicable pricing terms.
Commission adjustments may depend on:
- Whether the refund was completed through Sporfia.
- Whether the transaction was fully or partially refunded.
- Whether the refund resulted from fraud, chargeback or seller misconduct.
- Whether payment-processing fees were returned by the payment provider.
- Whether any nonrefundable service was already provided.
Payment providers may retain processing fees even when an order is refunded.
Subscription fees are generally nonrefundable once the applicable billing period begins, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
Canceling a subscription generally prevents future renewal but does not automatically refund the current billing period.
12. Chargebacks, disputes and fraud losses
Sellers are responsible for transactions involving their products, fulfillment, shipping, refunds and customer service.
When a buyer files a payment dispute or chargeback, the seller may be responsible for:
- The disputed transaction amount.
- Payment-provider dispute fees.
- Refunds.
- Shipping losses.
- Product losses.
- Currency-conversion differences.
- Other costs related to the dispute.
Sporfia may deduct chargeback or dispute amounts from current or future seller funds when permitted by the seller agreement, payment-provider rules and applicable law.
Sporfia may request evidence such as tracking records, delivery confirmation, product descriptions, customer messages and return-policy disclosures.
Sporfia does not guarantee that a seller will win a payment dispute.
13. Failed subscription or service payments
If a subscription, service or other seller charge cannot be collected, Sporfia may:
- Retry the payment method.
- Request an updated billing method.
- Suspend premium features.
- Prevent additional listings.
- Downgrade the seller’s plan.
- Restrict the seller dashboard.
- Pause or terminate paid services.
- Collect outstanding amounts from future seller funds where legally permitted.
A seller may remain responsible for unpaid amounts even after a subscription or account is suspended or terminated.
Restoring service may require payment of the outstanding balance and updating the seller’s billing information.
14. Deductions, reserves and negative balances
Sporfia or the applicable payment provider may deduct authorized amounts from seller payments, balances or payouts.
Authorized deductions may include:
- Marketplace commissions.
- Payment-processing fees.
- Subscription charges.
- Optional service fees.
- Refunds.
- Chargebacks.
- Dispute fees.
- Fulfillment charges.
- Taxes.
- Adjustments or corrections.
If deductions exceed available seller funds, the seller may have a negative balance.
The seller authorizes Sporfia and its payment providers to recover an authorized negative balance from future payments or an approved billing method where permitted by law.
Sporfia or the payment provider may establish a reserve, delay a payout or restrict access to funds when reasonably necessary to address refunds, disputes, fraud, account risk or legal obligations.
15. Currency and conversion
Fees may be displayed and charged in the currency supported for the seller’s account, transaction or payment provider.
Currency conversion may result in:
- Conversion charges.
- Exchange-rate differences.
- Different refund amounts.
- Different payout amounts.
Currency-conversion services and exchange rates may be determined by Stripe, another payment provider or the seller’s financial institution.
Sporfia is not responsible for exchange-rate changes or financial-institution conversion charges.
16. Off-platform payments and fee avoidance
Sellers may not ask buyers to pay through wire transfer, cryptocurrency, gift cards, cash, checks, peer-to-peer payment applications or unauthorized external payment links.
Sellers may not avoid marketplace fees by:
- Asking buyers to complete payment elsewhere.
- Listing an artificially low price and collecting the remainder outside Sporfia.
- Adding unauthorized fees after checkout.
- Canceling a legitimate Sporfia order and recreating the transaction privately.
- Using marketplace messages solely to redirect buyers to another sales channel.
- Misclassifying products or transactions to reduce fees.
Off-platform transactions may not receive marketplace support or payment protections and may result in seller suspension or termination.
17. Changes to fees and pricing
Sporfia may introduce, remove or change fees, subscription plans, listing limits, commissions, optional services and promotional pricing.
Sporfia will provide notice of material fee changes through the website, seller dashboard, email or another reasonable method.
Changes generally apply prospectively from the stated effective date.
Continuing to use a paid service after the effective date of a properly disclosed fee change constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing, subject to applicable law.
The current 5% commission stated in this Policy may be replaced by a different rate if Sporfia updates the Policy and applicable seller pricing terms.
18. Billing records and account review
Sellers should regularly review:
- Transaction records.
- Commission deductions.
- Subscription invoices.
- Payment-processing charges.
- Refunds and adjustments.
- Chargebacks.
- Payout reports.
- Fulfillment charges.
Sellers should promptly report a suspected billing error and provide the relevant order, invoice, transaction or payout information.
Sporfia may correct clerical, technical or billing errors and may issue a debit or credit adjustment when appropriate.
19. Contact
Questions about a specific seller charge should include the applicable order number, invoice, subscription or transaction information.
