1. Sporfia’s marketplace role
Sporfia provides an online marketplace where independent sellers may list and sell products to buyers.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, Sporfia is not the seller, manufacturer, owner or distributor of the products offered by independent stores.
The seller is responsible for:
- Establishing and clearly displaying their return policy.
- Determining whether an item is eligible for return or exchange.
- Providing return instructions and an appropriate return address.
- Receiving and inspecting returned merchandise.
- Issuing eligible refunds.
- Complying with applicable consumer-protection laws.
- Responding to buyer questions and order problems.
Sporfia may provide communication, order-management and payment technology, but the purchase remains a transaction between the buyer and the independent seller.
2. Seller return policies
Each seller may establish their own return and exchange terms, subject to applicable law and Sporfia’s marketplace requirements.
A seller’s policy may specify:
- The number of days a buyer has to request a return.
- Whether returns are accepted.
- Whether exchanges are available.
- Which products are final sale.
- Required product condition.
- Whether original packaging and tags are required.
- Who is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Whether an authorized restocking fee may apply.
- How damaged, defective or incorrect items are handled.
- Any special rules for custom or print-on-demand products.
The seller’s policy displayed at the time of purchase generally applies to the order.
A seller may not change a policy after purchase in a way that unfairly removes rights already provided to the buyer.
3. Before purchasing
Buyers should review the seller’s return policy before completing checkout.
Buyers should confirm:
- The available return period.
- Whether the item is marked final sale.
- Size, color, measurements and product variations.
- Whether the product is custom-made or print-on-demand.
- Whether return shipping is paid by the buyer or seller.
- Whether original tags, seals or packaging must be preserved.
- Whether any restocking fee is disclosed.
Buyers should save the order confirmation, product listing and seller return terms until the order is completed and any applicable return period has expired.
4. Requesting a return
A buyer should request a return through their Sporfia account, order page or official marketplace messaging system whenever those features are available.
A return request should include:
- The order number.
- The product being returned.
- The reason for the return.
- Photographs when the item is damaged, defective, incorrect or materially different from the listing.
- Any other information reasonably requested by the seller.
Buyers should submit the request within the return period established by the seller.
Unless the seller instructs otherwise, buyers should not mail an item before receiving return instructions.
Returning an item to an unauthorized address may delay the refund or cause the package to be lost. Do not return products directly to Sporfia unless Sporfia specifically instructs you to do so.
5. Return eligibility
Eligibility depends on the seller’s displayed return policy, the type of product, the reason for return and applicable law.
A seller may require that a returned item:
- Be unused, unworn and unwashed.
- Be returned in its original condition.
- Include original tags, labels and accessories.
- Include original packaging when reasonably necessary.
- Be free from stains, odors, damage or alterations caused after delivery.
- Be shipped within the authorized return period.
- Include the correct return authorization or order information.
Reasonable inspection necessary to determine size, appearance or basic functionality does not automatically make an item ineligible unless the seller’s policy or applicable law provides otherwise.
6. Nonreturnable and final-sale items
Depending on the seller’s clearly displayed policy, certain products may be nonreturnable or final sale.
These categories may include:
- Personalized or custom-made products.
- Print-on-demand products created specifically for the buyer.
- Intimate apparel or hygiene-sensitive products.
- Used cosmetics or opened personal-care products.
- Products with broken hygiene or safety seals.
- Digital products after access or download.
- Gift cards.
- Clearance or final-sale merchandise.
- Perishable products.
- Products damaged, altered, worn or washed after delivery.
A final-sale designation does not excuse a seller from obligations relating to products that are counterfeit, unlawfully sold, not delivered, materially misrepresented, defective or incorrect where applicable law requires a remedy.
7. Damaged, defective, incorrect or misrepresented items
Buyers should inspect their order promptly after delivery.
The buyer should contact the seller as soon as reasonably possible when:
- The product arrived damaged.
- The wrong product, size, color or variation was delivered.
- An item is missing from the package.
- The product is materially different from the listing.
- The product appears counterfeit.
- The product has a defect not disclosed in the listing.
- The package appears tampered with.
The seller may request clear photographs of:
- The product.
- The defect or damage.
- The shipping package.
- The shipping label.
- Any included packing slip.
Buyers should retain the product and packaging until the seller provides instructions.
When the seller is responsible for sending a damaged, defective or incorrect item, the seller should provide an appropriate remedy consistent with the seller’s policy and applicable law.
8. Return shipping
The seller determines who pays return shipping and must disclose those terms in their return policy.
Depending on the circumstances:
- The buyer may be responsible for return shipping when returning an accurately described item because of preference, fit, size or change of mind.
- The seller may be responsible for return shipping when the seller sent the wrong item or the item was damaged, defective or materially misrepresented.
- A seller may provide a prepaid return label.
- A seller may deduct an authorized return-shipping cost from the refund when properly disclosed and legally permitted.
Buyers should use a trackable shipping method when returning merchandise.
The buyer should retain the shipping receipt and tracking number until the refund is completed.
Unless the seller agrees otherwise, the buyer may remain responsible for returned merchandise until it is delivered to the authorized return address.
9. Refunds
The independent seller is responsible for approving and issuing eligible refunds for their orders.
Payments made through Sporfia are processed using authorized payment providers, including Stripe, for the benefit of the applicable seller.
When a refund is approved:
- The refund is generally returned to the original payment method.
- The seller may inspect the returned product before approving the final refund.
- Original shipping charges may or may not be refundable, depending on the seller’s policy, the reason for return and applicable law.
- Return-shipping costs or authorized restocking fees may be deducted when properly disclosed and legally permitted.
- Payment-provider or financial-institution processing times may affect when the refund appears.
A refund confirmation does not necessarily mean the funds will appear immediately in the buyer’s account.
Buyers should contact their financial institution if a confirmed refund has not appeared after the institution’s normal processing period.
10. Exchanges
Sellers are not required to offer exchanges unless their displayed policy, a specific agreement or applicable law requires them.
When exchanges are offered, availability may depend on:
- Product inventory.
- Available sizes, colors or variations.
- The condition of the returned item.
- The seller’s exchange period.
- Whether additional shipping charges apply.
- Price differences between products.
A seller may require the buyer to return the original product and place a separate order instead of completing a direct exchange.
11. Order cancellations
Buyers may request cancellation through the order page or official marketplace messaging system.
A cancellation request is not guaranteed once the seller has begun processing, producing, personalizing, packing or shipping the order.
Sellers should clearly disclose cancellation limits for:
- Custom-made products.
- Personalized merchandise.
- Print-on-demand products.
- Expedited orders.
- Products already transferred to a fulfillment provider.
If an order cannot be fulfilled, the seller must handle cancellation and refund obligations in accordance with applicable law.
12. Print-on-demand and third-party-fulfilled products
Some sellers may use Printful or another fulfillment provider to manufacture, package or ship products.
The seller remains responsible to the buyer even when a third-party provider fulfills the order.
Print-on-demand or custom-manufactured products may be nonreturnable for buyer’s remorse, incorrect size selection or change of preference when that limitation was clearly disclosed before purchase.
Buyers should still report:
- Printing defects.
- Manufacturing defects.
- Damaged merchandise.
- Incorrect products or variations.
- Material differences from the approved listing.
Buyers should contact the Sporfia seller through the marketplace and should not send products directly to Printful or another fulfillment provider unless the seller provides specific instructions.
13. Problems and disputes
Buyers should first contact the seller through Sporfia and provide a reasonable opportunity for the seller to resolve the problem.
Buyers should keep:
- Order confirmations.
- Product photographs.
- Screenshots of the original listing.
- Seller messages.
- Shipping and return tracking information.
- Refund confirmations.
Sporfia may review available marketplace records and communications when assisting with a reported problem.
Sporfia may request additional information from the buyer or seller and may restrict an account or store when there are credible concerns involving fraud, counterfeiting, nondelivery, abuse or repeated policy violations.
Sporfia’s assistance does not make Sporfia the seller or automatically require Sporfia to reimburse a transaction from its own funds.
14. Scam and fraud prevention
Do not send money through wire transfer, cryptocurrency, gift cards, checks, cash-transfer applications or an outside payment link.
Buyers should use only the official Sporfia checkout and marketplace communication tools.
A seller must not:
- Demand an additional return or refund fee through an outside payment method.
- Send an outside link to receive a refund.
- Ask for a buyer’s password or verification code.
- Ask for a buyer’s full payment-card number through marketplace messages.
- Require the buyer to cancel a dispute before providing a promised refund.
- Ask the buyer to return merchandise to an unrelated or suspicious address without explanation.
Buyers should report suspicious refund instructions, payment requests or messages to Sporfia.
Sporfia may be unable to recover money sent outside the official marketplace payment system.
15. Applicable law and consumer rights
Seller policies must comply with applicable federal, state, local and international consumer-protection laws.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive or limit consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
When a seller’s displayed policy conflicts with mandatory law, the applicable legal requirement controls.
Sellers are responsible for determining which laws apply to their products, customers and shipping destinations.
16. Changes to this Policy
Sporfia may update this Policy to reflect changes in the marketplace, payment systems, fulfillment providers, legal requirements or business operations.
The effective date displayed at the top of this page identifies the current version.
Sellers remain responsible for maintaining accurate store-specific return policies.
17. Contact
Questions about a specific return should first be directed to the seller through the applicable order page or marketplace messaging system.
Marketplace policy questions may be sent to:
